Swedish melodic death metal titans Arch Enemy have officially unveiled Lauren Hart — formerly the front-woman of Once Human — as their new lead singer. Since Alissa White-Gluz departed in November 2025, a lot of speculation by the fans and social media was going around on who would succeed, and today February 19, 2026, Arch Enemy has confirmed Hart as their new vocalist.
The announcement came alongside the release of “To the Last Breath”, a “return to roots” new track that oozes an classic melodeath vibe akin to the early-era Arch Enemy. “Make no mistake – this song is a reckoning,” said guitarist and band founder Michael Amott. “Musically, it’s unapologetically aligned with my original vision for the band – and I believe longtime fans will recognise that immediately. Lyrically, it’s about seeing through deception and dismantling the illusion of control. It captures that moment when you realise you’ve been fed poison – and you choose to fight back. Once that clarity hits, there’s no retreat. It’s do or die.”
He also praised Hart’s contribution, highlighting that “Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey,” and that “Working with her was an exceptional experience – her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration!”
To celebrate this new era, Arch Enemy have also announced a series of European club shows for summer 2026, giving fans a chance to experience the revamped lineup live.
